Hes really perceptive and very emotionally intelligent, says Segarra.

Brooke and Lances relationship has been very on and off, but when season three starts, theyre engaged.
What do you think happened between seasons that brought them to this point?What hasnt happened between them?
They both realize separately that theyre better together than apart.
Theyre soul mates, kindred spirits, Bert and Ernie.
Im sure their hearts missed each other.
He makes her laugh, and she makes him feel strong.
They make each other happy and can see each other for who they truly are.
There are some in the world who think Lance is only one-dimensional, and she sees him as deeper.
Does he have fashion shows in Milan now?
Is he a world-renowned fashion designer?
And theyre like, Nope.
They said, Hes the best nurse.
He has a great time at work, and hes always laughing with his co-workers.
Theyre all laughing because of Lance.
Its a very cool twist of fate, and it makes me very happy.
Lances iconic dab was there right from his first scene.
Now his dabbing is more widely accepted and even beloved at work.Absolutely.
He also drops a damn, Daniel about two or three years too late, but thats him.
He doesnt mind that he might not be right on time.
It brings him joy.
Anyfriendshipis a lifelong conversation, and the best relationships are real friendships.
That makes Lance sad and lonely.
If youre not on the same team, youre going to take everything personally.
Pretty much everything he says is accurate.Thats one of my favorite things about him as a character.
Hes not distant; hes very, very aware.
Hes always been watching Brooke close and wanting to be there for her.
This is the first time weve actually seen Lance get genuinely angry and frustrated.
Were going to get to really flesh this out and go deep.
Breaking up is never easy.
Its always going to weigh on both people in the fight.
Helene is one of my dearest friends.
Weve built these characters together, and weve played off of each other now for a few years.
We trust each other, so we could go really deep with this fight.
I love ya, I love ya, and Ill see you tomorrow at the breakfast truck.
When we shot it, we were in the middle of Times Square with the marquee up outside.
I would grab lunch and come back and giggle to myself.
It took us about a week to shoot, so the marquee was sitting outside for that entire week.
