The irony in Goldbug comes when you contrast the life Tamerlane is living with the lifestyle shes selling.
Despite positioning herself as a patron saint of self-care, Tamerlane is running herself ragged.
No kink-shaming here, but even Tamerlanes marital maintenance isnt really about her marriage.
This is a situation ripe for Vernas brand of meddling, and meddle she does.
