You simply cannot stopFamily Guy.

Fox tried twice, canceling the show in 2000 and 2002.

But Seth MacFarlanes brainchild has defied the odds to become one of the most beloved animated shows ever.

22.Somewhere Thats Green (Season 4, Episode 16, The Courtship of Stewies Father)

22.

Family Guythrives on highly specific references and shocking its audience.

Both of those elements intertwine effectively in Somewhere Thats Green.

The song fromLittle Shop of Horrorsis sung here by town pedophile Herbert about his eternal desire for Chris.

21.Republican Town (Season 9, Episode 2, Excellence in Broadcasting)

21.

Though Brian believes himself to be the smartest Griffin, hes every bit as susceptible to nonsense as Peter.

20.Candy, Quahog Marshmallow (Season 14, Episode 10, Candy, Quahog Marshmallow)

20.

19.My Drunken Irish Dad (Season 5, Episode 10, Peters Two Dads)

19.

The number is filled with every Irish stereotype imaginable, delivered in a rapid-fire minute of debauchery.

18.Main Theme

18.

(Its the former.)

It should be a federal crime to push the skip intro button.

16.Pop Tart (Season 12, Episode 7, In Harmonys Way)

16.

Have you, by chance, ever put butter on a Pop-Tart?

Thats the very important question at the heart of Pop Tart.

Its quite literally all about Pop-Tarts.

Peters With butter?!

exclamation at the end is perfection.

15.Road to Rhode Island (Season 2, Episode 13, Road to Rhode Island)

15.

The first of the consistently excellent Road to episodes concludes with the endearing Road to Rhode Island.

But Road to Rhode Island is aFamily Guysong through and through.

Its too low-key compared to the more showstopping numbers, but its still a fun time.

The song found itself as part of a legal battle.

13.You Have AIDS (Season 4, Episode 5, The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire)

13.

The song is short, sweet, punchy, and one of the catchiest numbers in the shows history.

It would have been stronger if it was longer.

Not HIV, mind you, but full-blown AIDS.

The song is a laugh riot but also an incisive commentary on how absurd anti-drug activists are.

11.Vasectomy Song (Season 4, Episode 23, Sibling Rivalry)

11.

It also has one of the cruelest (and most amusing) Meg jokes buried in the final seconds.

A potent reminder that we really need a return of the barbershop quartet.

10.The FCC Song (Season 4, Episode 14, PTV)

10.

Ironically, the FCC actually loved the song, which drew the ire ofFamily Guyin a later episode.

A fantastic episode deserves a fantastic song, and Its a Wonderful Day for Pie delivers.

The song doesnt really amount to much, but thats the point of a parody of Disneys relentless optimism.

7.This Old Town (Season 21, Episode 20, Adult Education)

7.

Anyone who lovesFamily Guyknows that making fun of Meg is a time-honored tradition.

You could easily make an argument that Meg has suffered more than the cast ofSalo.

But This Old Town finally finally!

gives Meg an opportunity to shine.

In a pitch-perfect parody of Belle, the song finds her finally finding community in Russia.

And how else could a song celebrating Meg end than with a literal nuclear meltdown?

6.Shipoopi (Season 4, Episode 20, Patriot Games)

6.

Does it make any sense that Peter leads the entire football stadium in Shipoopi?

Does that stop it from being very funny and utterly delightful?

If the Patriots did stuff like this, it might actually convince someone to watch their games.

Booze (Season 9, Episode 10, Friends of Peter G.)

5.

Brian tells Pearl of Las Vegas.

Of Macfarlanes singing characters, Brian is the smoothest, and the actor really does crush this number.

3.A Bag of Weed (Season 7, Episode 12, 420)

3.

Brian attempts to protest about the importance of legalized weed but cant find an audience.

Stewie tells him he needs more showmanship, which immediately gives us the sensational A Bag of Weed.

Its an irresistible number that makes a legitimately compelling case for legalizing weed, just like Brian wanted.

1.Down Syndrome Girl (Season 8, Episode 12, Extra Large Medium)

1.
