Mulaney was asked to hostTDSboth when Stewart first left, per a November 12GQprofile, and again more recently.
But also, apparently, it wasnt the right thing at a later moment either.
Mulaney has never been an overly topical or politically minded comedian.
John Mulaneys focus is on his life, his history, and his most mundane opinions.
But it doesnt exactly show the impulse to dig deep into politics.
