Its about endings and beginnings.
Its about turning the page on the good and the bad the melancholy exuberance of Auld Lang Syne.
And, in most cases, its about a group celebration thats simultaneously universal and deeply personal.
(Worse way to spend the 31st than watching bothGodfathers, though.)
The 2011 Gary Marshall movieNew Years Eveis also not on this list because, cmon, its too easy.
The pilot ofFuturamais not on the list because its a TV show, not a movie.
