It was building a protective shell around myself and not wanting to let people in.
I didnt want people to know who I truly was.
But going through all of that was extremely healing.
Im strong and resilient.
I wanted to channel that into the album.
I feel now I can use my voice and tell my story through my music.
When I listen to Im Free, I can hear a woman who has discovered who she is.
