I knew he was a little shifty anddeepinto the cause, but hes messing with childrens lives here!
Adult Erin directs the robot through the folding and lands-slash-face-plants near the factory in Stony Stream.
This all seems on track with the plan and the girls even get a minute to exhale theyre home.
The robot promptly zaps Larry.
Larry is dust now.
Its obviously the Old Watch, which means the rest of them will probably get zapped next.
She knows what she has to do.
Ill bet theyll surprise you, she says before running toward their own robot.
For a moment, you want to believe she can win this fight.
In my life, Im gonna win.
I am going towin with actual intention and strength behind it.
She sacrifices herself to save the girls.
Erin screams out, sobbing as she watches it happen.
Grand Father orders them to ablute the area.
But that mystery is for another time because they have a much bigger problem to solve.
Armed with Larrys notebook, the girls make their way toward their homes.
If they dont change anything, theyll be stuck in a loop.
The girls dont want to hear it.
Honestly, Im surprised KJ doesnt throw up right there.
She looks like she might!
Larry lied to them about following Tiffs 1988 plan.
Theyre going to have to regroup, but firstPaper Girlsdoes something that, frankly, Im obsessed with.
It pauses all the crazy sci-fi action stuff because Erin needs to do something about her period.
After all theyve been through and everything theyve seen, theyre all terrified of using a tampon.
When they read about toxic shock syndrome on the box?
Forget it, Erins going with the pads.
Its a grounding moment that puts a lot of what weve seen thus far into perspective.
After that debacle, KJ begrudgingly suggests that they should spend the night at her house.
Her family goes away for the Fourth of July, so the place will be empty.
Theyll have food, a place to sleep, and can figure out a plan in the morning.
Its her biggest fear.
At the party, KJ learns this is not something she needs to worry about.
Shes barely seen any movies and now shes studying them and making them and is really good at it?
Its a life she never imagined possible for herself and thats both exciting and a relief.
Theyre together … and they look really happy.
KJ is reeling from seeing this.
She doesnt say anything but you could see her working through it in her head.
Shes scared and confused but then maybe not so confused?
KJ feeling confused about her sexuality could also explain why she has so much pent-up anger.
That anger appears again here, as KJ forces the girls out of the party.
This time, she punches Mac right in the face.
Her message is cut off because, well look at that, 1999 Tiff picks up.
Its finally time for a deeper dive on Tiffany Quilkin.
Its a lovely little moment.
What a good girl!
Patty the dog instantly recognized the younger KJ!
They clearly have a camaraderie of sorts.
