Its been difficult, at times, to locate the emotional center of this season ofMythic Quest.
Season three hasnt gottendramaticthe way that season two did.
I suspect thats about to change, based on Sarian.
But overall, thats not a knock.
and his fraught home life.
Sarah, Ians mom, is supportive and kind in all the ways his dad isnt.
She assures him that hes not dumb; he just thinks differently.
You are the smartest kid I have ever met.
Fourteen years later, Poppy is around the same age that Ian was in 87.
But the scene still has everything that makes this pair unique.
Ian is amused by her from the beginning, especially her lack of social acumen.
Its an origin story we didntneed, but Im glad we got.
That scene also features some C.W.
I wonder if well see some of these characters in the present day sometime.
Poppys sister feels like a natural side character to introduce, like season two did with Brads brother.
