Goodmans agentconfirmedthe news to Deadline, saying he died peacefully, surrounded by his family in a hospital.

The professional ballroom dancer and British champion had been diagnosed with bone cancer.

Born in London in 1944, Goodman began dancing at the age of 19, according to his website.

He appealed to all ages and felt like a member of everyones family.

Len was at the very heart ofStrictlys success.

He will be hugely missed by the public and his many friends and family.
