Of course it was always going to be Bailey who knocked some sense into these two.
Bailey is Hospital Mom, and she saves us all.
Except for, like, when she has MRSA and kills a bunch of people with her hands.
But other than that, we need her guidance in all the ways.
If Owen loses this appeal, it will be another six months before he can loop back and try.
Another six months without a medical license will kill his marriage.
We all know it!
Hed do it again.
Hes very righteous about it.
Bailey has to remind him that everyone understands this.
Everyone knows that he has always been doing what he felt was the right thing.

So thats exactly what he does.
He finds Teddy and finally apologizes for being an ass all this time.
That last bit seems less important than the others, but still, hes clearing the ledger.
Oh, and also, the assessor cleared him and hes getting his medical license back.
Shed like him to be her chief of trauma again.

Teddy and Owen maybe wont be fighting for at least one entire episode!

Theres nothing they can do for her except to manage her pain.
She has maybe days, maybe hours.

Much like Gerald, Natalia doesnt want the doctors to tell her husband Elliot.
She wants him to remain hopeful for the last moments theyll have together.
She wants him to keep planning their big trip to Italy.
But again, like Geralds story, Elliot knows.
Of course he does.
Elliot will keep up the ruse for Natalia, too.
I love a movingGreyspatient story, and Natalia and Elliot were exactly that.
Plus we got a great little scene between Jules and Richard.
Jules is upset that they arent doing more to help Natalia.
To know when continuing with treatment would only hurt the patient is part of the gig.
He knows there is something wrong, because of course he does.
So, he asks her.
she tells him what theyve been dreading: Her cancer is progressing.
Or maybe this will just be Catherines deal now, every other season she has a cancer scare!
Still, something tells me we might need to prepare for the worst.
The OR Board
Schmitt finally finds enough self-worth to go ask Nurse Carlos out on a date.
