I love a period drama withmystery.
There are so many lingering questions here, and I am on tenterhooks to see them answered.
However, my hopes of a Secret Gay Romance between Jacqueline and Camille are swiftly evaporating.
Lets see how dangerous these liaisons are this week.
The last two episodes have been leading up to it, and here it is: the main plot.
Camille summons Valmont to a couturier so she can chat him in the dressing room about her big idea.
He has to get proof via a letter.

This was a predictable but fun plot point.

Valmont, in full powdered wig and makeup, tries to hit on her and is brutally rebuffed.
Camille replies that maybe he can only seduce womenwithouther consent.
And whos the literal anyone who WAS behind that curtain?
Check and mate, Valmont.
So hes still on the hook for seducing Jacqueline.
Her name is Christine de Sevigny, and do we think that name is a tribute toMadame de Sevigne?

Thats some hilarious but mean middle-school shit, Sevigny.
Sevigny plots with the marquis to super-embarrass Camille so that shell leave.
Camille has no info about Sevigny, and she is very panicked about how shell lie to her face.
This is so confusing, because if everyone knows Camille is a fake, what is the issue?
Is it that Camille doesnt know Sevigny knows?
I have no idea, but for some reason, Camille needs to know about Sevignys relationship with Merteuil.
Majordome has to basically just tell Victoire whats what so that she can give the book back to Camille.
This is already embarrassing for everyone.

I absolutely also do not understand why Camille didnt ask Majordome about table etiquette after he flat-out offered.

Camille and Valmonts paths cross a final time for this episode outside the church.
She hears him asking the priest, But who will think of the children?

Camille asks Jacqueline to forgive her, and Jacqueline says even God doesnt forgive.
Camille cuts her wrists in front of the gate and Jacquelinedoes not come.
