These are the movies were most curious and excited to see, grouped by festival.

Advance word has been that its very sexy!

Look, its Pedro Almodovar first English-language feature.

His latest feature,2073, is an intriguing hybrid.

Though whats really caught my eye is the fact that Kapadia has citedLa Jeteeas an inspiration.

It was a weird time!

You might call it abad romance, or maybestupid love.

Oh, and there are also musical numbers, inspired by films likeOne From the HeartandThe Umbrellas of Cherbourg.

As another Joker might put it:Hes sart of like a singing porson.

He completes this trilogy withMaria, a look at the final years of opera legend Maria Callas.

Shes played by Angelina Jolie, making a grand return to the screen for the first time sinceEternals.

(Though you could be forgiven for forgettingEternals.)

And two, the film would need U.S. distribution, which at the moment it apparently lacks.

(Though there are rumors its already been acquired and is waiting to make a splashy festival announcement.)

(Outer Bankshunk Drew Starkey, no relation to Ringo, plays the sailor.)

Is this Guadagnino making up for not havingArmie Hammer eat the peach?
